Applications
Applications lists the Arizona Game and Fish accounts on your login. Each name is the display name, and it opens that person's draw list. The heading on that draw list is the AZGFD name plus "Draw Applications", followed by the PointGuard line when one is stored, such as when PointGuard Plus expires. Hunt party names stay as they were on the application.
If nothing has been saved yet, the account says so. Draws appear after a scrape that includes Applications, once the account is validated, or after staff load a saved copy. A bonus-points scrape does not fill this list. When a draw has a change waiting, the account line links to that draw list and says how many.
The draw list
The columns match the portal: Year, Season, Species, Result, Hunt, PointGuard, and Details.
Show All and Recent Only sit at the top right of the table. The one in use is highlighted. Show All lists every saved draw. Recent Only lists the latest draw for each season and species, and only from last calendar year onward. A 2027 draw still counts while the calendar year is 2026. If the newest Spring Javelina is from 2024, that season and species is left out. If Fall Javelina was last applied for in 2025, that draw is shown. When that newest year has more than one hunt for the same season and species, each of those hunts stays.
The filter button opens Pending, Drawn Tags, Bonus Point Only, and Not Drawn. They start off. Choosing any of them lists every saved draw in the groups you checked, and Show All and Recent Only turn off. Drawn Tags is Drawn, Drawn-Electronic, or First Come Left-Over. Pending is a hunt you applied for and are waiting on. Bonus Point Only also includes a draw whose detail hunt says Bonus Point Only, even while the list still says Pending. When that list later changes to Bonus Point Only Hunt, the draw stays in Bonus Point Only. Choosing Show All or Recent Only clears the filter. Clearing the last checked group returns to Show All.
Click a column heading to sort the rows you are looking at. Year starts with the newest year. Season starts with the oldest year, and within a year the order is Spring, Mid-Winter, then Fall. The next click on Season puts the newest year first, and within that year Fall, then Mid-Winter, then Spring. Species, Result, Hunt, and PointGuard start at A–Z. Details does not sort. The next click on a column reverses it. The header row is highlighted, an arrow shows the direction, and the X at the right of that row resets the sort. The same sort works with Show All, Recent Only, and the filter.
Purchase PointGuard is a link to the Arizona Game and Fish PointGuard page. It shows for a short time after the application is submitted and before the draw, while the hunt party can still say Not Purchased. A later scrape replaces that cell with the label the portal shows then, such as PointGuard not purchased or PointGuard Purchased.
A successful result — Drawn, Drawn-Electronic, or First Come Left-Over — highlights the row in green. A Pending hunt highlights the row in yellow. A Bonus Point Only detail hunt does not, even while the result still says Pending. When a result or hunt changes after that draw was first saved, a note above the table names the draw, what changed, and when. Dismiss clears that note. Past changes lists every one of those notes with the time, including notes already dismissed. The first time a draw is saved, including an older Drawn or Not Drawn, does not raise a note. No email is sent.
When a draw is removed
A saved draw is removed only when a scrape reads the whole Arizona Game and Fish list and every hunt party and hunt-choice table on that list can replace what is stored. Hunt choices replace the saved choices when all five choices, numbered 1 through 5, were read. A shorter choice table leaves the saved choices in place. A hunt party replaces the saved party when it lists at least as many people as are already stored. A shorter party leaves those people in place. Either of those cases also keeps other saved draws that were missing from the list. When a draw is removed, the note above the table says, for example, "Removed 2024 Fall Elk, hunt 1234 (Not Drawn); it is no longer on the AZGFD list."
If the portal page came back empty, partly unreadable, or short in the way above, nothing is removed. Draws that were read are still updated. The job on the Scraping page finishes with a warning that says how many saved draws were kept. When one draw's hunt party or hunt choices stay, View Details says which part was not updated.
View Details
View Details opens a dialog on the same page. It repeats the portal sections Details, Hunt Party, and Hunt Choices, including the group bonus-points average and the hunt dates. Party names stay as they were on the application. The row that matches the AZGFD first and last name is highlighted, along with the drawn choice. A successful result also highlights that hunt number.
The list still shows a short result such as Drawn-Electronic. The dialog can add "Questionnaire Answered" when the portal detail page does.
An X closes the dialog. On a wide screen, a click on the dimmed area outside the dialog also closes it. On a narrow screen the dialog fills the page, and only the X closes it.
When someone shares applications with you
Applications also lists an account someone else has shared, after your own accounts. The line says who shared it and how many shared applications it has. Bonus-point-only applications are not in that count.
The draw list uses the display name. The columns are Year, Season, Species, Result, Hunt, and Details. Result is Pending, Drawn, or Not drawn. Show All, Recent Only, and the filter work the same way as on your own list. Bonus Point Only is still in the filter. This list has none of those applications, so checking only that box matches nothing.
View Details shows the hunt number, the tag number, and the hunt choices: description, start, end, and units. A pending or not-drawn application shows each choice. A drawn tag shows only the choice that was drawn. The dialog does not include the hunt party, PointGuard, or bonus points. Those bonus points, when they were shared, stay on Bonus Points.
